EBE Custom EBE External Battery Enclosure for VRLA Batteries
The
08035 Custom External Battery Enclosure (EBE) for VRLA batteries is designed for
housing valve regulated lead acid battery backup systems in outdoor environments
where dirt, dust, oil, water and other contaminants may be a factor. This lockable
cabinet is ideal for restricted access applications. For added security, all hardware
is internal. Each of the six battery shelves accommodates a single -48 VDC, 90
Amp-hour string of VRLA batteries for up to 540 Amp-hours of backup time. Bus
bars provide a single-point connection to customer equipment. This cabinet is
available with an optional heater and air conditioner which allows for operation
of the batteries in ambient temperatures ranging from -40 to +50 degrees C.

EBE Custom EBE External Battery Enclosure for NiCAD Batteries
The
08035 Custom External Battery Enclosure (EBE) for NiCad batteries is designed
for housing nickel-cadmium battery backup systems in environ-ments where dirt,
dust, oil, water and other contami-nants may be a factor. This lockable cabinet
is ideal for restricted access applications. Each of the four battery shelves
accommodates a single -48 VDC, 125 Amp-hour string of NiCad batteries for up to
500 Amp-hours of backup time. NiCad batteries are available with a single-point
watering system and integral flame arrestor for ease of maintenance and protection.
NiCad batteries are designed to operate at nominal temperatures ranging from -20
to +40 degrees C and tolerate extremes to +70 degrees C. Insulation and optional
heaters allow for operation of the system in extreme environments ranging down
to -50 degrees C.
